The lights are bright,
The television sings my tone,
Hence I love it so much,
To live freely and alone.
The flowers are where they should be,
And the car is just my own,
Hence I love it so much,
I love to live alone.
There are no tantrums to tolerate in my room,
Nor I have to talk about stars and moon,
I can come and go as I please,
Because I just love to live alone.
I love how my books are strewn about,
I lounge all day and play video games,
My joy or sadness are in hands of my own,
That’s why I love to live alone.
There is no interruption in my work,
And ‘responsibilities’ is just a construct,
All the time there is for my own,
Thus I love to live alone.
I can decide when to sweat or rest,
My patience does not undergo any test,
I offer no explanations, no rules writ in stone,
And that’s why I love to live alone.
I have no qualms with my past,
Strong in spirit and cool to last,
I don’t rush and find people to talk on my phone,
Because I simply love to live alone.
When there are no people around – I am fine,
I am not insecure to seek any approval online,
I am also unafraid to explore a genre unknown,
And so I just love to live alone.
